Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-29

By creating an account or otherwise using Utevia, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

Utevia evaluates mathematical expressions across four independent numerical engines and returns each result with a consensus signal. It is available through the web application and through the REST API (including the MCP integration).

2. Operator

Utevia is operated by Philippe Reynier, Wallonia, Belgium. Contact: info@utevia.com. Full identification is on the Contact page.

3. Accounts and API keys

You must provide accurate registration details and be able to enter into a binding contract. You are responsible for keeping your password and API keys confidential and for all activity carried out under them. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the service unlawfully; exceed or circumvent your plan’s quotas or rate limits; disrupt, overload, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or its infrastructure; resell or redistribute the service without authorisation; or reverse engineer it except where the law expressly permits.

5. Plans, fees and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance for the chosen period and define usage limits (such as API calls per month and maximum precision). Fees and limits may change with prior notice; a change does not apply to a period already paid for. [Refund and cancellation terms: …]

Consumer right of withdrawal — if you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw. By asking us to begin providing the service immediately, and acknowledging this, you agree that you lose that right once the service has been fully performed.

6. No warranty and results disclaimer

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind to the extent permitted by law. Results are provided for informational purposes: while the consensus signal indicates whether the engines agree and, where shown, whether a result is rigorously bounded, you should verify results before relying on them for any critical purpose. Mandatory consumer-protection rights are not affected by this clause.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service or its results. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence).

8. Intellectual property

Utevia and its content are owned by the operator. The open-source components Utevia relies on are listed, with their licenses, on the Credits page.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or where necessary to protect the service or other users. You may stop using the service and close your account at any time.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; the “last updated” date reflects the current version, and continued use after a change means you accept it.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Belgian law, and disputes fall within the jurisdiction of the competent Belgian courts. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence.
